Why is it Important to Adapt to Change

change in life is important.

Hello everyone, I wish you're all doing great. Today I will share why change is essential in life and why you should adapt to it.

Why is Change Important?

Change is a natural part of life. This is one more rung on the stairway to success. Everything changes when you change, and also, nothing changes until you change. To live a different life requires that you grow to become a different person.

Clouds do not stand still. Trees flower, sprout new leaves, then shed them. Tides come to the shore and then recede. Night follows day, which in turn follows night. Life is a constant cycle, ever-changing, yet never changing, and we are part of it all.

You will be here for a time, but only until your time is over. You have only just so much time to make your mark so that we will one day be worth remembering.  You should realize that you are as important as the clouds, the tides, and the seasons.

You have your place and must play your part as best you can in life ever-unfolding story. Let us, therefore, change for the better: grow old gracefully in love, strength, and dignity; also grow in wisdom each day.

Every day, your actions take you either closer to your goals, or further away from them. Every day, you either move in the direction you choose to go, or you drift with the winds and the currents, the tides, and pressures of life around you. In life, there is no dramatic, sudden change, because that's the way life works.

Life is more evolutionary than revolutionary, and "inch by inch, anything is an easy target!" The competitive world has two possibilities for you: you can lose or, you can win...but, and it's a big but,  you must change.

Real change always comes in three steps. To start with, there is an inner circle; you can call it self-awareness or self-knowledge. If you are clear about who you are and what you really want, change is more comfortable at this level.

The second is an outer circle, that is, private family/community, the people we spend time with every day. The change is in your relationship with them. Finally, the change will make sense in the real world where we work and play.

Everyone who craves change and is willing to pay the price passes through these stages. There is no magic bullet to accomplish your goals.  There is no magic bullet to achieve your goals. The way is through the transformation of your life, and it can be painful at times. Sometimes, struggles are exactly what are the need in our lives.

If God imparted us to go through our lives without any difficulties, it would paralyze us. We would not be as great as we could have been. We would never be able to 'fly.'

There is a remarkable story told about  Butterfly...

One day, a small opening emerged on a cocoon. A man sat and observed the butterfly for several hours as it strived to force its body through that little hole. Then, it seemed to have stopped, making any progress. It appeared as if it had reached as far as it could and could go further.

So the man chose to help the butterfly. He took a pair of scissors and opened the cocoon. But it had a withered body; it was little, with shrunken wings. The man continued to watch because he expected that at any time, the wings would open, large and expand and become firm enough to be able to support the butterfly's body.

To his distress, neither happened! In fact, the butterfly spent the rest of its life dragging around with a withered body and shriveled wings. It never was able to fly.

What the man, in his humanity and his goodwill, did not understand was that the restricting cocoon and the effort required for the butterfly to get through the tiny opening, were God's way of driving fluid from the body of the butterfly into its wings, so that it would be ready for flight once it gained its freedom from the cocoon.

Change is a must in any kind of growth. It is essential to go through a process if you want any change to take place. We must make up our minds to change and tell ourselves, "As one person I cannot change the world, but I can change my own life. No one else can do it for me."

James Baldwin put it this way,

Not everything that is faced can be changed, but nothing can be changed until it is faced.

Do you want to change your life? Start immediately. As Jimmy Dean rightly affirmed,

I cant change the direction of the wind, but I can adjust my sails to always reach my destination.

Conclusion

Not every change is good. But a change in the right way is significant, and one should adopt it.  Change is hard at first, but it becomes gorgeous at the end. As bad habits can be cured only when you will change it. So get used to change because, in life, nothing is permanent.
